We stayed at the portofino hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel is a 5 min. cab ride from "central" (its a very long beach) playa el agua. That was not good, it took about 20 min. to walk the same distance. I went to this restaurant in October 2009 off the back of the previous reviews and was HUGELY disappointed. My girlfriend was served fish that was raw in the middle, our tostones con queso (plantains with cheese) were probably the worst I had during my stay in Venezuela (and I *love* the dish), and given we were the only ones... more
