We wanted to stay over in Shirakawago after having heard so much about it. Be warned that the village is rather touristy and that there’s nothing much to do after dark. Let me be the first to write a review on Koemon. I'm surprised that Shirakawa-go is not a crowded place for tourists, apart from a few buses that carry day-tour visitors to the place. after it's dark, and in the mornings, you can virtually take a stroll by yourself, believing that this place is indeed a very quaint and peaceful... more

This Ryokan is situated right in the heart of Shirakwago, a beautiful village know by their hatch roofs in the middle of the mountains. The scenery is breathtaking.
