Coming fron San Diego it is hard to imagine a more remote, clean, comfy and cost effective lodging in such a beautiful and remote location anywhere. No question about it, these are the best accommodations east of the Copper River, located in the Wrangell Mountains. Actually, it is a challenge to find out of the way accommodations anywhere on earth comparable to these unless you rub elbows with Donald Trump. If you really want to experience the real Alaska, away from cruise ships and tourist traps, McCarthy--and Ma Johnson's-- is not to be missed.
