Sicomoro Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Tucson Arizona and Nogales Sonora
23 Oct 2008

The Hotel Sicomoro ( Sycamore ) is a very good place to stay at while visiting this wonderful City. It is the unofficial Hotel for the Chihuahua Cattleman´s Association, the Union Ganadera de Chihuahua. It is located a little way outside of downtown, but very close to many good restaurants and attractions. The rooms are very clean and priced good... more

Fiesta Inn Chihuahua

4 of 5 stars

23 Oct 2008

The Fiesta Inn at the City of Chihuahua is part of the Fiesta Americana Chain. It was built and set up as more of a business Hotel but is good for tourists and travelers alike. The rooms a very clean, it is a modern and up to date facility not far from most of the attractions of the City without... more

Hotel Casa Grande Delicias

19 Oct 2008

An employee at this hotel stole my blackberry. It was the driver of the van actually. It was siting on the seat of the van and I went to get it a few minutes after I had set it down and it was gone. There was no one else in the van and the driver just acted stupid. I know... more

The Adobe Inn

16 Oct 2008

The very small town of Mata Ortiz is very well known for the amazing potters that it has produced for several generations. It's hard to believe that such beautiful art can come from one small place, and from so many different people who live in that place. The adobe Inn is the ONLY place to stay in Mata(literally). They have... more

La Rinconada

16 Oct 2008

La Rinconada is located in Casas Grandes, in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico NOT Nuevo Casas Grandes(this was kind of confusing for us). Apparently there is a Casas Grandes, and a few miles down the road is Nuevo Casas Grandes. La Rinconada is a great place. We were greeted by the owner, Senor Antonio Martinez. The restaurant is basically in... more

Palacio Del Sol

We checked into this hotel at midnight after getting off the Chihuahua Pacifico train. I was so tired that it was going to have to be bad to make me complain! The room was very big, two queen sized beds, and the bathroom was large and clean. It was really quiet too which was a huge bonus. On pulling down... more

Hotel Mision

5 of 5 stars
Bloomington, IN
11 Sep 2008

We stayed at the Hotel Mision for one night in early September. Our room was comfortable and we were not cold because the weather was still warm at this time of year. The shower had good water pressure though the water did not get more than lukewarm. This could be a problem in cold weather. The courtyard and vineyard were... more

A friend and I took the Copper Canyon train trip and stayed at the San Felipe El Real prior to our train trip for one night, and then after for two nights. Everyone was so wonderful to us and the room, breakfast, and amenities were excellent. You can easily walk to many locations in the historic district. The hotel is... more

This was a recommendation from family that lives in Chihuahua. We contacted owner directly via email and had all arrangements made in this mode. For $150 they picked us up at the Chihuahua airport and took us back the following day to the hotel were we stayed in Chihuahua. It is a 4 hour drive from the airport to the... more

We went to Chihuahua to visit family which was near downtown. We traveled as a family of 4. We booked the 2 bed suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Good beds, good shower. Breakfast was included in price and the food was very good. They had the typical American fare as well as various Mexican based breakfast dishes. We... more

Hotel Posada Barrancas Mirador

21 Jul 2008

The view from the Posada Barrancas Mirador is magnificant, the rooms are nice and clean but very basic. Unfortunately the food was horrible. Upon my arrival after a 7 hour train ride the only thing they had to offer was fried fish (no menu nor any other choices) and for dinner it was a repeat, pasta with a small piece... more

Hotel Posada Barrancas Mirador

Loved -loved-loved this place! It had loads of charm with an incredible view. Lots of great hiking right outside your door. Horseback riding too! Even though we traveled with a tour group, we found the food quite good here. Maybe they had a change in chefs? The staff even made extra meals for my teenage son, who was a bottomless... more

Like I said in the title, the view is something else and that's what they are going on at this place. For the money, you'd think they could hire a real chef. Instead they told us we had to eat between 7 and 8 in a cafeteria style atmosphere with this huge travel group that came through. And they were... more

Hotel Paraiso del Oso

2 of 5 stars
LA PAZ , BAJA CALIFORNIA
21 Jun 2008

This is a owner operated, and built operation. The effort is there but the operation is below average. The owner does have access to a site overlooking the canyons, that is spectacular!! It's worth putting up with "no choice menu" , rough roads, and vehicles that don't work , to see the spectacular vistas. more

Hotel Boutique San Felipe El Real

The Hotel San Felipe El Real is ideal for couples seeking a romantic bed and breakfast or business travelers tired of the same old generic hotels. Located in the middle of historic Chihuahua city, this exquisitely restored house from the 1800s has all the modern amenities along with gracious, attentive staff. You cannot find better accommodations for this price. I... more

Hotel Paraiso del Oso

I stayed here for 2 nights during a tour of the Copper Canyon and had a wonderful time. The drive in from the train was exciting and gave a good introduction to the type of road travel we were in for the next day! The rooms are located around a central courtyard with lots of comfortable chairs for just lounging... more

Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Chihuahua

26 May 2008

I stayed here for 1 night on my way to the Copper Canyon. The location was great for a quick walking tour of Chihuahua - just a few minutes walk from downtown. The area is not the greatest, but the hotel itself is a self-contained compound with a series of individual buildings surrounding small gardens - felt very safe. Very... more

Hotel Boutique San Felipe El Real

This is a beautiful, romantic spot in the heart of Chihuahua, walking distance from the cathedral and old town center. The rooms are warm and welcoming, like staying at a friend's exquisite vacation home, all facing into a peaceful courtyard. Each are decorated with charming antiques. The hotel also offers very modern amenities, such as wireless internet, but has much... more
