The hotel is nice in a relatively calm area, but the service was just ok. The food is good and the breakfast is very good, but at a charge. Has a pool, but no gym. I got a room with nice view. Free Wi-fi in room and in lobby. more

I stayed with my family for 3 days for a friends wedding. The hotel is really nice, the rooms are great. It´s just in front of the shopping mall and they have shuttle so it makes your shopping day easier. You can find nice restaurants near by. The Continental Breakfast is really a small Buffet. Great if you go with... more

Quality Inn Chihuahua

I booked through one of the online travel sites for $59. Great room with al the comforts: ironing board, iron, hair dryer, coffee maker, alarm clock. Located right next to the Church and Plaza and close to everything. Room was very comfortable. more

Hotel Casa Grande Delicias

14 Mar 2009

I stayed at this hotel while on business in Delicias so I was not looking for a lot of entertainment options, just a clean room and a decent meal. I definitely got both with the Casa Grande. This is a nice hotel. The room was large and clean and except for a noisy air conditioner that woke me up in... more

Hotel Las Guacamayas

Last week I spent three nights at Las Guacamayas in the sleepy old pueblo of Casas Grandes. If your main objective is to visit the ruins of Paquime, this is the place to stay. Las Gucamayas is built in the style of the ancient ruins, using a rammed earth technique. The proprietor is a former curator of the museum, very... more

There is not much in Chihuahua - a day would be enough to look around. We were there after being on the Copper Canyon train. This Holiday Inn is a comfortable, clean hotel which was amazing value. The $90 a night included a free drink in the bar and free breakfast for two. The room was large, well-decorated, clean and... more

What a surprise this place was! The owners are as delightful as their lovely lodge, which is brimming with colorful and unique arts and crafts. Sol prepares the most exquisitely delicious food and has an excellent selection of beer, wine and alcohol -- but if you're a caffeine junkie, like I am, come prepared with your own stash of instant,... more

Hotel Paraiso del Oso

We loved the del Oso. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfy and open onto a courtyard with a wonderful view of the mountains. The food was plentiful and delicious. There are wonderful hiking trails all around, and the hotel provides a great base from which to explore Cerocahui and take a day trip... more

We stayed here as part of a tour package. I noticed that previous reviews were mixed. Our experience was as well. The hotel, while renovated a couple years ago, is showing its age. The room was sizable and on the 15th floor with a lovely view of the city. It was decorated with ornate draperies and furnishing. Good internet connection... more

We wanted to stay here one week but we moved after 3 days to a similar hotel in the area. The hotel is brand new, so everything is in good condition but : 1) We booked for one week, but we initially paid only the 3 first nights. Because of that they just erased all the reservation we made with... more

huge old fashioned luxury style rooms - good location and great views of chihuahua town if on a higher floor. room service limited. staff appalling when we stayed there - very un-professional and unhelpful following a late arrival and no help with transfers - after a formal complaint was made to the manager an apology was received however it was... more

Hotel Boutique San Felipe El Real

Hotel is on a quiet street, very lovely, walking distance to Cathedral, Pancho Villa house and other sites of interest. Owners are very helpful. if other guests come in late it can be noisy if your room is in the front, there are other rooms in the back, but overall this was indeed a lovely little boutique hotel that we... more

We (three of us) were using this hotel as a base to stay the first night and our last night on either end of a Copper Canyon Journey. It was so much more cosy and comfortable than one of the chain hotels and every room was decorated differently and tastefully with a very personal touch. There were many small details... more

This hotel was included as part of a 8-day package tour from El Paso, Texas through Mexico’s Copper Canyon to El Fuerte and back. We didn’t have a choice of hotels, but who cares? This place was wonderful! Glad we didn’t experience the food poisoning or bad meals of the earlier poster. On the contrary, everything with our stay was... more

This hotel was included as part of a 8-day package from El Paso, Texas through Mexico's Copper Canyon and back. The property wasn’t too bad, just a few details that spoiled it. One being the dirtiest windows we’ve ever seen in our travels. But, it served the purpose. Our stay was for two nights, breakfasts were buffet with ample hot... more

If you're into pampering yourself at 5 star hotels with fancy bathrobes and chocolates on your pillow, stop reading here and don't stay at this place. If you're in the Casas Grandes area though, odds are you're not looking for this type of stuff. This place is as true to the area as you can get. I've stayed there twice.... more

Hotel Paraiso del Oso

14 Dec 2008

We stopped there during the dry season (winter) and one should realized it is awfully dusty. The hotel is right next to the bumpy road and you hear heavy trucks passing very early in the morning. The temperature was pretty cold and we had some wood for the stove, which is fine for the evening but pretty unpleasant in the morning... more
