Having read some pretty mixed reviews, we set out tentatively for an evening meal at Portobello's. When I phoned to reserve a table a few days in advance, the person I spoke to was abrupt to say the least. It didn't instill confidence. There are some very nice restaurants in St. John's, but Aqua is my favorite. The chef is very imaginative with his use of spices and the presentations are always lovely. Who knew a caribou burger could be SO good? Last night I had the black bean chili made with chirizo sausage. OMG! Yummy! :-) more
