Room was freezing, snow in room from fireplace and windows with huge drafts. Was just the beginning, room was filthy, shower needed pliers to turn on, made our own beds which was kinda like home :) . We live in Calgary and usually spend two weekends every winter at Emerald Lake Lodge. The location is spectacular and it is nice to get away from tv's, blackberry's etc. While isolated (about 30 mins to lake louise and the nearest town is field (15 mins)), this is the real allure.
