We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had the Chudleigh Suite. What a disappointment. The suite was a good size but extremely dowdy and in need of a total makeover. The room was not amazingly clean - the ceiling light fittings had a good layer of dust on them so had clearly not been cleaned for some time.... more

Had a fantastic time here, staff were really welcoming and helpful. All the ales are from St Austell brewery and when we asked about them we were given samples for free! What a fantastic hotel. We have stayed in hotels across Europe and this has got to be the best stay that we have had. We booked using the net and got an email reply within half an hour. They kindly worked out our travel arrangements by rail from London and we got a really genuine, warm welcome when we arrived.... more
