I find it amazing that this hotel can honestly be classed as 5*. Yes, it is beautiful and the location certainly is perfect but the service and quality is far from being a 5* standard. 1. the staff, who I'm sure are all lovely people and try hard, are not trained to a 5 star standard and appeared very inexperienced.... more

I have stayed here 5 or 6 times, paying usually somewhere from £88 to £98 for double room with cooked breakfast. This is a standard chain, so don't expect old-world charm, quirks, winding staircases and the like. Just a functional hotel, good breakfast, parking, and central location. A Perfect Location from which to explore lincoln. Within touching distance of the cathedral and bailgate. Myself and my partner found the hotel excellent, the staff attentive and the whole experience to be relaxing. Lincoln itself is a beautiful city to visit. more
