Stayed here for a short break and were very impressed. This is a converted jail (HMP Slade in the BBC series "Porridge") Rooms are two cells knocked into one with 1/2 cell for the en suite. Even the original battered doors remain and the entire hotel has been upgraded to the typical high standards one associates with the Malamaison Group.... more

We visited Oxford for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary. All in all I was satisfied with the Ethos hotel. The staff were friendly and service good, the room was clean and the bed was comfy.
