It's a surprise to me that this hotel is classed as 4 star. Believe me, it isn't. Staff were barely polite (except for the wait staff in the breakfast room), service was appalling. My husband and I have just returned from a weekend stay at the Park Cottage and we will definately be going back. We stayed in the Elfrida room which was very spacious and comfortable. Spectacular views on arrival. Rooms are not actually in the old Hall but in an adjoining annexe. I'm glad we didn't pay £90 a night, but for the bargain £20 it was great value for money.
