Driving up to the hotel, wow looks great, very grand, Room was a refurbished superior room, trouble was it was so dark you couldn't see it even with five, yes five table lamps and one ceiling light, false economy using energy saving bulbs if you have to use so many surely. Having read iffy reviews on Trip Advisor we had been reassured by follow-up comments from the management and also it's standards are supposedly assessed by Visit Scotland, so we thought it must be OK.
