We stayed at the Thistle inverness for Bank Holiday Weekend. The rooms have renovated to a good standard (still being renovated after 6 months!!) but service and facilities are severley lacking. The resteraunt closes at 9 pm, the pool and leisure facilities close at 7 pm, and were not open again on sunday morning due to staff shortages. The (busy)... more

We don't tend to stay in B&Bs as we generally find them quite old-fashioned, both in decoration and the rules and regulations that go with your stay! Avalon has completely changed our view.
