Hillview Guest House

This place has a little bit of everything, so I would recommend, but its not for a demanding traveller. We got the last room in the house and has to share a bathroom with another room, but that was not a problem - everything was spotless clean. The room was a bit too small, our suitcases barely fitted in. The... more

Gill and Dave really made my stay in Fort William memorable. They’re very friendly, helpful, efficient and happy. Maybe they haven’t been running the B&B long enough to become bitter about it but I have a feeling that their friendly natures won’t disappear. From the first contact through email to the final farewell, Gill and Dave couldn’t do enough to... more

Very enjoyable 3 night stay in September 08. Great position overlooking the Loch with a pleasant 20 minute walk into the town. Very comfortable, newly renovated room with large flat screen TV and DVD, much appreciated by my 13 year old son. Very friendly and helpful owners and wonderful breakfast. This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed... more

Holly Tree Hotel

First impressions of the hotel were fantastic - beautiful setting, spacious rooms, clean bathroom. Very relaxing. Dinner was very good in particular the oysters and rib-eye steak - beautifully tender and cooked rare as requested - often chefs can tend more towards medium. The only problems that we had with the hotel were the facts that we could hear the... more

This place was nice ,a bit of a walk but cosy and comfortable, with good information about a whole independent hostel group, something i never was informed about in other hostels. The kitchen was very much above standard and well thought out ,in fact apart from the glasgow backpackers probably the best equipt i have used. The overall standard was high. more

My wife and I have just returned from a three night stay on D,B & B basis. We had been at the Inn, as it was then, some 4 years ago and enjoyed our stay then. There have been some improvements generally and the swimming pool was very welcome. It was larger than we had expected and was adequate for... more

We love this Hotel and its staff. Occasionally things go wrong, but for heavens sake, go with the flow! I first visited this hotel 35 years ago when it was quite new and returned 12 years ago with my family and have been going every February since. Everyone is helpful (except for a wierd housekeeper they had one year, but... more

The hotel was superb. We had the best room with excellent views of the loch against the hills. The staff was very friendly aswell, like specially the south-african waitress at the restaurant went out of her ways helping us out which was very nice. The food was great. I just feel the prices were abit too expensive, like we paid... more

Wow what a great place to stay, Joe and Jane are what made the stay in Fort William enjoyable and very comfortable. Arriving on the door step soaking wet from being on the motorbike, and asking on the of chance for a room was no problem. Through out the three days stay they were only to happy to hang the soaked... more

What a Treat! We arrived, party of four, for only one night. Julie welcomed us warmly and continued to be a most gracious host, providing information and attention to all details for our comfort. The twin room was large with an equally luxurious bath and toilet area. We had the double with fantastic view of Loch Linnhe. The beds were... more

When we arrived in Fort William (a lot of traffic by car, beware) it was cold and about to rain, so we really didn't felt we wanted to pitch our tent. Looking around a bit in downtown B&Bs, the best value seemed to be at the Berkeley, where we got a room at the top floor with nice views for... more

So close to Loch Linnhe we could hear the waves lapping on shore. Fabulous views all around with garden, loch, and mountains. Rooms are large and tastefully decorated with sophisticated skill, using rich colors. We were a party of four and enjoyed well prepared evening meal and breakfast. Comfortable beds, great showers, lovely guest lounge. Bev was gracious and helpful.... more

Faegour House is a gorgeous little B&B in Spean Bridge, outside Fort William. It is run by a Scottish-Italian couple who are completely adorable - so friendly and cute and willing to do anything to make your stay perfect. There are two rooms, both gorgeous: a smaller blue room (Bluebell Room) and the larger rose room. When I say large... more

We were staying in Fort William and decided to stay extra day. After searching local brochure we decided to drive out to hotel and have a look. It is fantastic - it sits overlooking Loch Linnhe and view is fabulous. The outside of hotel is very well kept so we decided to go in and ask if there was any... more

Glenfinnan House Hotel

Our room was disappointing - small with creaking floorboards. The bathroom however was very spacious. It has been a long time since we stayed in a hotel with no television. There was a welcoming roaring log fire in the hall and a friendly bar serving suppers and informal meals. We ate in the dining room where the food was of... more

Treetops

We recently stayed at Treetops and definitely recommend it to any one thinking of visiting Fort William. It is slightly out of town so you need a car but it is certainly worth the extra 5 mins drive. We stayed in the deluxe room which is huge with a lovely balcony to go with it which overlooks Ben Nevis. We... more
