We highly recommend Chateau Le Colombier. Although it's 5KM from the center of St. Malo, the location is pristine, beautiful and very quiet. When we saw the restaurant situated on a touristy square, we didn't expect much from the Lion d'Or, however, it was recommended by the owner of our hotel. We had an excellent lunch at La Cale in Solidor, St. Malo. Do not miss the shelffish or soupe de poisson starters or the fresh fish main courses. Unbelievable value for the quality. The owner was our server and she couldn't have been nicer. more
