Just returned from two nights at the Am Terrassenufer. It's all decorated for Christmas, and looking very festive indeed. The rooms are large, with a great view. The hotel is in nice and quiet neighbourhood, cca 20-30 minutes walk from the very centre of the city (Altstadt). The personal was very nice and the room was cosy and neat. In terms of the comfort, cleanliness, size and design of my room, this hotel compared very favourably with a 5 star hotel in Paris where I stayed in Paris two weeks earlier - and the room in Paris was 1,010 euros a night.
