Schleswig was a surprisingly wonderful stop on our trip. The town has the Viking town of Hedeby (Haitabu), some Viking long ships, bog people, modern art, a history museum, a fishermen's village, fine cathedral with stunning wood carved altarpiece and a yacht harbor. We went to this area of Germany, just for the heck of it. We are glad that we did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I was 6 months pregnant at the time, and quite comfortable in the room and with the bed. It hads a refrigerator with a mini bar. The hotel is located right on the... more
