Tarragona is a nice small ancient town on the shores of the Mediterranean. If travelling to/from Reus, it is highly advisable to have a short stay-over in Tarragona instead of heading directly to Barcelona. Tarragona was a blast. The ruins are spectacular, the restaurants are wonderful, and the port is quite nice. The hotel is outside of the "old" city, which is either a plus or a minus. but we like to walk so it was perfect for us. We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Placa de la font. We were not dissapointed with the hotel. We found that the rooms were of adequate size, beds and pillows comfy, lovely shower and bathroom. The bedding and towels were changed each day of our stay.
