We were allocated a huge double room on the second floor. Period fittings and padded brocade-like wall coverings. Great choice for breakfast - the best of our trip. Hotel on a busy junction with not much outlook but very convenient for Brignole station and site-seeing. Also adjacent to a small park. more

Close to harbour, old town and shopping areas. All major attractions within walking distance. Reception staff always helpful and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Rooms clean and of good size. A real find, good value. more

Took one of the funivias (inclining tram) up to the old city wall and had a nice walk. We could get close to two of the old forts but it was a bit too far and too hot to actually climb up to the forts. There was a beautiful view of Genoa city and the coastline from above and there... more
