If you have not already visited Santa Caterina Valfurva you should start planning now. We rang Giovanni, the owner of the Albergo Compagnoni, and he helped us to organise our skiing with minimum fuss. This place feels neither authentic nor cozy despite its long standing in Milan. We ordered classic Italian dishes but the food that arrived was gray, boring, tasteless, and expensive. The best part of the meal was the bread ... really! The models referred to in earlier posts were nowhere in sight. The closest we saw was a walking/talking worn-out blow-up... more
