The bar area of Papa Joe's is decent and worth swinging by. It's as close to an American dive bar as you are going to get in Basel and the mojitos are pretty OK. Poorly executed versions of fairly generic Asian dishes. I've given it 3 chances and each time the dishes have been stodgy and greasy with very uninspiring flavours. Won't go back for a fourth time. more

The crowd here tries slightly too hard to be cool but this place does do decent cocktails and is well located, with decent outdoor seating. more
