We were initailly a little concerend after eading some reviews that reffered to the hotel as being more 3 or 4 star but I think that is a very harsh comment. We stayed in a sea view suite which was very large, ahd a bedroom, living area with tv/dvd . balcony & sofa & chairs and a screened off dining... more

We always eat at the Portao restaurant when we visit Madeira twice a year. It has become a must on our list of restaurants in the Old Town.
