Our 6 night stay here was in one of the Presidential Suites with private infinity pool and swimming deck. For 2k Euros a night we were expecting something better than average and certainly the room (villa?) lived up to expectations. The Avli taverna is a five minute walk from the square on the road to Plaka. It is run by David and Sandra an English couple who will make you very welcome. We spent a week at Elounda Heights and have to say that the setting is totally stunning. The grounds, pool and views of the bay and Spinalonga Island are beautiful.Our one-bedroom apartment was large and airy and had a lovely big balcony.The kitchen, however, we feel could have benefited from a microwave.The hill is, of course, a downside but you... more
