Very light, clean, pleasant rooms. We stayed only one night and spent most of our time in Kalmar sightseeing (the castle, of course, and beautiful Oland Island), so we weren't in the hotel very much. We stayed two nights at the Calmar Stadshotell and it was really nice. The staff was friendly from the start, always helpful when we had requests, and the location in Kalmar could not be better. Stayed here for a conference for a couple of nights. The receptionist was not very helpful re. the parking opportunities nearby, as the parking basement was full. Took a while finding a parking spot. Breakfast was fine. Rooms are stylish and spacious. Wi-fi connection worked fine. Location is smack in the middle of town. more
