First stayed at the Helka in the mid 90s. Since then it has undergone its most recent transformation into a stylish hotel, with rooms have been fitted with Alvar Aalto furnishings and Harri Koskinen block lamps (The Helka started out as a Finnish version of the YWCA in the late 1920s!). We recently spent a cool week in Helsinki, but our room at the Hotel Glo was warm and welcoming. The room wasn't spacious, but it was cozy, The bed was soo comfortable and had the best pillows of our whole trip. The small couch at the foot of the bed made for a comfortable spot to watch TV.
