If you're looking for something to do that will make the kids happy in between touring historic sites, the Alpenzoo is a great choice. You won't find your traditional zoo animals here, because only species native to the area are featured...and that's part of its appeal. It's not in the central region of Innsbruck, but the city itself is small. It was a clean room but cozy, what is expected for a hostel. The breakfast was bad coffee and flat bread. And if you want to buy food, prepare to walk. There's nothing around. more
