We had a four week holiday in Norway and Finland in July 2009. Balestrand was our second stop in the Norwegian fjords, after Fjaerland (Mundal). The Balestrand Hotel is a lovely, smallish family run hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, nor does it pretend to be, but nonetheless, the quality of the rooms and the service were very high.... more

Excellent !! I'm definitively going back !! Superb hotel with excellent dining options - the large dinner buffet is the best ever. Try the a la carte in the gourmet restaurant !!
