The Black Horse offers the best Sunday Lunch we've found , at least so far, within 5/10 miles of Bedford. We tried the Hare & Hounds once (winner of numerous awards) and were very disappointed in comparison. By contrast we've been to the Blaack Horse 4 times in 9 months and it hasnt disappointed to date. I've lived in Italy for over 20 years and, in my opinion, this restaurant serves the best and most authentic pizza I've eaten since I've been back in the UK. I've enjoyed lunchtime pizzas here 5 times and each time i've had excelent service and great pizzas so would reccomend it for lunch. Also the espresso coffee is equally good.... more
