George Hotel

This is hands down one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. I will start with the postives the rooms are very big, the menu very varied and the staff are friendly even if there are only two of them. Oh and the location is tremendous. The downsides: The hotel is not clean, in fact its really not... more

oh my god, me and a few friends went to the coach and horses one saturday evening to try this new upmarket refurb. all i can say is it was fantastic, the interior, the service, music and most importantly the reason for the visit, the food. all were exquisite. i am planing on making this my local eatery and i'll... more

George Hotel

A grubby hotel that is in real need of good clean! The lift should be in a theme park and the staff are in need of some serious re-training. Breakfast was cold, the tables were dirty and I must have tried 4 plates before finding a clean one. The breakfast staff were incredibly rude and after complaining to reception ended... more

My wife and I have just returned (reluctantly!) from a weekend spent at this fantastic Spa. It is situated in a spectacular location in the Dales and were also able to fit in a pleasant walk during our free time. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and the service excellent, whether it be in reception, the spa area or... more

We have returned from a weekend at Titanic Spa where we met up with two friends and all stayed overnight in one of the apartments. The welcome and reception was great and straight away we felt at home. Everyone was attentive and informative without being over powering. The apartment was four floors up above the Spa with fantastic views of... more

Having read a few reviews detailing bad smells, my daughter and I were slightly worried as we began our two day spa break. However we need not have worried, there were indeed smells but it was all down to the essential oils used in the areas where aromatherapy was taking place. We found the staff helpful and friendly, the treatments... more

We arrived and checked in, wish we hadnt. Went to the room, it was dirty, the curtains looked like they had been dipped in a dirty puddle. The whole decor is dated and dirty. Went to open the window to let some fresh air in and to get rid of the condensation and the handle came off in my hand.... more

Huddersfield Hotel

I stayed for one night at the Huddersfield Hotel and it was awful. Fair enough, it seems like they are very slowly refurbishing the hotel. But as far as i could tell they are a long way off improving the rooms. The corridors are dark & forboding and maze like. The rooms are dank, musty and probably last decorated in... more

Didn't stay in the hotel but celebrated Mum + Dad's Golden Wedding Anniversary with a meal - poor Mum + Dad. Firstly we were the only guests having a meal - there was a receptionist, a supervisor and 2 (very!) young waiters and we had to go looking for them at every stage of the evening. Secondly the menus M+D... more

I stayed for a weekend night at the Briar Court. Got an unbelievable last minute rate of 30 quid B&B. This hotel is close to J24 of the M62 but far enough away to be quiet at night. There is an Italian Restaurant next door which was busy. I had room service from the Italian and it was OK, but... more

My son and daughter in law treated my wife and myself to a surprise meal for my 60th birthday and they could not have chosen a better location. This is a lovely example of a fine Yorkshire pub with absolutely wonderful food to suit all tastes. Every morsel was a delight and the presentation exquisite. The service from the very... more

Premier Inn Huddersfield - North

The title says it all-this hotel is 20 yards from the A644, which seems to be the main road into Huddersfield. It is a great hotel, and so are the staff but be warned-if you get a room on the front, the road noise is incredible.I thought I would hear something from the motorway (M62 Jct 25) but that paled... more

I have visited Titanic Spa a couple of times and each time have had a great day and had trouble leaving to go home! The relaxation room is great, especially the bean bag pit and the non chlorine pool is very nice to swim in. The heat experience is good and you could easily go through the different experiences two... more

Wow, wow, wow!! I stayed with my best friend last weekend on a saturday night on the Indulge package. Cannot recommend this package highly enough. The reception staff were always helpful, friendly and any question you have to ask is never too much to answer. The therapists are very knowledgeable and my skin is now glowing. Bisto; lunch/dinner was great... more

We booked a day here on the £65 for two people deal to banish the winter blues. Check in was professional and we were given a complimentary drink while we filled in paperwork. It was disappointing that no treatments could be offered to us that day as they were fully booked so make sure if you want extra treatments you... more

Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield

We booked the hotel last minuet as we were visiting friends in the area and didn't want to drive home. Unfortunately the hotel was not at all nice. As many people have commented it's very 1970s. Staffs are friendly enough which seems to be the hotels only redeeming feature. We decided to have breakfast in the room, and to be... more

We have been a few times since it opened, usually to use the Heat Experience, and were also members for a while and can honestly say it is on a very slippery slope downhill. It's not cheap to join, but offers less facilities and is less well maintained than other local gyms who charge a fraction of the price. It's... more

I visited in early 2008 and was very disappointed. I did the sunday night stopover package which initially seems good value but as most of the other people there are on the same package it was like a cattle market with big waits between treatments. The place isn't as luxurious as advertised, for example, the bath robes were shabby and... more
