The Hotel Menaggio boasts 4 stars but we did not feel that is appropriate. Our bathroom was very dark and small and the shower stall especially dark. Nice guest house with a beautiful location. It is an annex of the Hotel du Lac in Menaggio. I normally stay away from community bathrooms, but the two here were very nice. We booked our holiday with Shearings,we originally were booked into our first choice hotel,The Exelsior but about 3 weeks before departure we were informed that our hotel was going to be renovated (the Shearings brochure claimed the hotel had just been renovated) an that we were being moved to the Bazzoni hotel a short distance further up the lake.To compensate... more
