Residence des Perles

9 Sep 2008

I had a lovely time in Roscoff this summer. Francoise's B&B is located in the center of Roscoff, which is a really nice little city. The house is beautiful and I was warmly welcomed. Thank you Francoise for everything. I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely come back next year! more

Hotel du Centre

This place says it's a 'Petite Hotel du Charme' but my wife and I remained distincly uncharmed by our three-night stay. The place is pleasantly decorated and the staff are friendly but unhelpful. Our room cost 118 Euros a night. For that, we got a sea view (of sorts) and a small room which had no mirror, no iron, no... more

Haven't stayed in a French hotel for years and had forgotten how the French seem to think you need only inches at the side of the bed! Linen very clean, but with a hole in the sheet and they got the bill wrong (wanted to charge for 2 nights). Hotel was full and we were the only English people there... more

We stayed at the Ibis for one night before boarding the ferry back to Plymouth, after a weeks stay in the Loire Valley. We parked right outside the hotel (no charge) which was great. Check in was very smooth. Everyone's English was fantastic and puts our feeble attempts at French to shame! The room although basic and compact was just... more

Hotel Le Brittany

This was the third time we had stayed at this hotel and found that it was as good as ever. I found it hard to reconcile our impressions of the hotel with some of the other reviews. We have booked through Brittany Ferries each time we have stayed there and find it very comfortable, granted we have not had a... more

Hotel Armen Le Triton

Hotel is not in centre of town which makes it a quiet location but involves a walk to get to shops and restaurants. Rooms are old fashioned and getting a bit worn although clean enough, bathroom was cramped. Breakfast was below average with a very tried looking fruit salad being offered and, to our taste, not very nice coffee. Free... more

This lovely old hotel dating from 1585, yet modernised to a very high minimalist standard, very stylish and particularly nice breakfast for France. We were on the cheaper church square side which can be a bit noisy, the church bells start at 7.00am. Had the hotel as part of a package with Brittany ferries, it was certainly worth the bit... more

We stayed for 1 night before heading to south Brittany. Hotel is ideally situated right by the sea and town centre. Views of the sea were spectacular. Only problem encountered were the paper thin walls and I was woken by somebody being ill in the bathroom next door!! Breakfast was basic but did the job. Roscoff itself is a charming... more

Hotel Restaurant D'Angleterre

Lovely rustic Hotel, i have stayed there now about 3 times and although it doesn't have all the luxuries people expect like tea and coffee in rooms, internet access, and all the trappings that go with the executive tourist, it is incredibly homely and had a lovely Hotel Dog, a black lab, called Luckey, as I guess he was living... more

Collected vouchers out of the local paper and spent one night and just under 24 hours in Roscoff with my boyfriend. Basic hotel room with blankets not duvet (boo!), but clean enough and functional. Paid slightly more for a sea view room, worth every penny, great view and room would be pretty average without the view. Roscoff a nice small... more

A great place to stay. Roscoff is a very attractive town and this is a lovely hotel. Beautiful building, lovely rooms and very friendly, helpful and attentive service. Its a relatively small hotel and not the place to stay if you are looking for somewhere with all the facilities in house but if you want somewhere attractive with a bit... more

We were originaly booked in another hotel in Roscoff, but arrived to find it was little more than a monk cell; much too small for 2 adults to survive for 1 week without injuring each other. We walked through town and stumbled upon Le Temps de Vivre. Lucky for us, as it was the high-season, they had rooms for the... more

I didn't read the bad reviews on this hotel until after I'd booked it and would have cancelled my booking and lost my 80 euros if every other hotel in town hadn't been full! However after staying there on our first night in brittany after an afternoon crossing i am so glad I didn't cancel! Ok, so its not the... more

Le Temps de Vivre is really a place to stay at if you're visiting Brittany. At all levels, it's pleasant, cosy, tasteful. Most rooms are different from one another, providing different atmospheres. I recommend the "upgraded" or "superior" rooms. It feels like you're on a boat when it's high tide with the seagulls flying right above the roof window. The... more

Delighted to find a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in France! Fairly small rooms but smartly decorated with spacious, modern shower rooms. Lovely views over the sea to the Ille de Batz and worth paying a little extra for a room with a view. Very convenient for the ferry port in a relatively quiet area of the town. No designated... more

Either the grumblers below stayed a different hotel or this hotel has sharpened up its act a little. I've stayed here two years running, because it's cheap and handy for the ferry. It's not the Ritz, it's a bog standard, traditional, unmodernised French hotel of the sort I first stayed in (good God!) over 50 years ago. Makes me feel... more

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and had one dinner at restaurant. We had room with sea view. Bathroom was very nice but bedroom was not so big, decoration was definitly not as expected level. We felt too expensive for the result, considering that hotel has become member of Relais Chateaux. Food at restaurant was very nice but service... more

I have stayed at this hotel several times. It is beautifully clean, the staff are charming and are always so helpful. A wonderful place to stay to explore the lovely coastline or as a stopping off point en route to other destinations. more

Beautiful, well-run, small hotel that faces the beach on one side and an old plaza on the other. the attached restaurant, also run by the hotelliers, is outstanding! more
