On a Saturday in September 08, I went from St. Pancras International Train Station in London, UK to Calais-Frethun on France. I WAS UNDER THE ENGLISH CHANNEL!!!!! The room was a reasonable size and well equipped. It is easy to park close by and there are a number of good restaurants within a short walk. Mercure are currently running a wine promotion whereby four good quality wines are available by the glass at a moderate price. Value for money depends on whether you are on a deal... more
On arriving at the the hotel at 15h00, which was our check-in time, we had to wait for 30min for reception to open. We had specified that we wanted a bath in our booking, which was confirmed that we would get that, but we got a room with a shower. The hotel is under renovation and should not be open... more
