“Like visiting the Crossroads Motel. Still stuck in the 80s”

On arrival first impressions weren't great - the car park was a mess and the lawns haven't seen a mower in ages. Checked in, reception staff perfectly ok, had extra pillows sent up when requested. Very little information about Basel available at reception. But the room - a throwback from the 80s. Lots of dark painted wood, grubby grey carpet... more

“Be carefull for extra charges”

It's not a bad hotel but i hate it to be supprised by extra charges when checking out. They charge you € 6,50 for parking. No signs to warn you and at checking in they don't mention, as it is a usual industrial parking lot! Internet is also very expensive (€) 10 per hour. more

We booked this hotel based on it being close to Basel airport and there was a good weekend deal offered. However, the shuttle bus service, promised on the web-site does not work at the weekend (not mentioned on the web-site) which meant it cost us an extra 22euros to get to the airport and a long walk from Weil-am-Rhein train... more
