We have stayed at the Hotel Heritage a few times before we moved to Canberra and once after we moved (April 2008) when our plumbing broke down and seven of us crammed into a hotel room. Sometimes the rooms are a bit damp/dungey smelling but otherwise we have found them adequate for a family stay. I would only stay here... more

Room was well appointed and had everything needed except wineglasses, quiet, and a working bathroom. On site construction caused significant noise, including early on Saturday morning. Earplugs or a warning would have been appreciated. Toilet cistern filled irregularly. Exactly as described. Cheap and reasonably cheerful. The bus to what locals call the city centre - which is hard to describe in a decentralised mess like Canberra - takes about 20 minutes. Attracts hard hat / bright vest types who take off in their work trucks at 6.30AM which can be disturbing if your little room overlooks the carpark.... more
