“Just the best location possible in Sydney”

We finished our tour of Australia with four nights at the Park Hyatt, and what a way to finish. Dined here in Dec 09 with colleagues and guests. Got the table outdoor, great view with Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We were also watch Pacific Jewel leave the harbour - 4 hours later than schedule. We have Tasting Plate, Trio of Salmon, Natural Sydney Oyster and Kilpatrick Oyster for entrees. Having paid 176AUSD on Expedia (why the extra 16 AUSD above the hostel rate??) for a King deluxe ensuite in a 'flashpackers" I was expecting something special. No such luck. The staff are bordering on rude. The room and communal areas were untidy and dirty. There was nowhere to hang clothes even in a 'deluxe room". People were running up... more
