We stay at the Commodore twice a year when visiting family and friends. In particular we appreciate the excellent service, friendly staff and cleanliness. As a family-run hotel there's always somone on hand who has a keen interest in sustaining their reputation. We now choose an Executive room, though all are well equipped and very comfortable. I came across the online site to book this place- i specifically requested a studio but i got more than i bargained for - i truly believed i had one of the best rooms - (look for 109a). we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights then moved to te anau,then had a further night here.when we arrived the second time at 8pm reception was closed and there was an envelope waiting for us with a letter saying we had not paid for our first stay.we had actually paid in cash on arrival but had not been given... more
