I liked this accommodation very much. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed at one of the 1-bedroom cottages very near the beach front. We stayed in the consulting room for one night during our honeymoon trip. Brian and Frances were very welcoming and interested in their guests. Brian is an endless source of information about westland, sights, activities etc. The guest lounge and breakfast room is very spacious, the consulting room was cosy and neatly decorated. My wife and I only stayed one night en route from Fox Glacier to Akaroa. I wish we had stayed longer. Frances and Brian offer fantastic hospitality in a wonderful period home in the centre of Hokitika. We were offered a choice of rooms and chose one on the ground floor overlooking the garden - large, comfortable, with private bathroom.... more
