My husband and I just spent 2 days ,one night at Hotel Bambu in Santiago De Atitlan. The location of the hotel cannot be better.Flowers and plants surround the lakeside hotel.The bungalow is spacious,clean,artistically decorated .The staff is wonderful,helping arrange transportation,making sure that we are comfortable in the room,giving information on activities.Jose, the owner and Rebecca at the front desk... more

From the moment we arrived at Bambu we were stunned by the breathtaking scenery; the lake, the lush plantings, the thatched roof cottages that were the rooms. We stayed in the 3 bedroom house at the posada at the end of July and absolutely loved it. The best in all of Atitlan. The views as soon as you open your door were fantastic. The lake is amazing. The posada itself has a great staff and we were never treated bad. The restaurant has the most amazing food... more
