Ibis Moussafir Rabat

I think the hotel was ok. After all the troubles i went through in Morocco..this place felt safe and clean. Most of the staff could speak at least a little bit of English. Some of them were really nice, some of them quite rude. The breakfast was ok, but after having the same breakfast every day we needed something for... more

Ibis Moussafir Rabat

On my fourth visit I stayed in this hotel. It was my first time to stay in a hotel of this chain and I found it to be quite acceptable. Cleanliness was good and the staff were friendly and efficient and someone always had sufficient english ( and I noticed spanish as well ) to deal with any queries. I... more

This Hotel is an insult to Marocco. Not only were the lifts not working, but the arrogant staff do not know what the word "hospitallity " means. more

Le Ziryab

Describing itself as Moroccan Gastronomic Cusinine this is a gem of a restaurant in the heart of the restored Medina in Rabat. Recently restored itself this 300 square meter Riad serves excellent Tajine and Couscous in a relaxed environment. The Lamb Tajine is just melt in the mouth and the Couscous varieties are extraordinary. It's not easy to find as... more

This is a great way to experience true flavor of the Oudaya and the Medina; living in the heart of the old city; yet near the gates and easy access in and out for the faint of heart...the rooms are classic Moroccan riad, around a pleasant courtyard. Staff were helpful and patient but know little English...best if you speak Arabic... more

We selected this hotel as we had some trouble finding anything suitable in Rabat, and we did read one worrying review on TA. However we were enchanted. The extensive villa (part Mediterranean style part Moroccan) has about 30 rooms, and is set in quite the most beautiful grounds. This makes al fresco breakfast plus evening dining if you want it... more

Even if it is close to the city center, Mohamed V Museum and Hassan tower, this is not a 5 stars hotel as stated. I would rated as a 3 stars. The quality of its service isn't good and the level of confort is not as high as they say. The staff is isunpleasant and the quality of the meal... more

We stayed at the Sofitel - Rabat for one night during or self-guided visit to Morocco. As we were traveling with two teenage children, we had checked out several of the other Rabat lodging options (including those reviewed on this site) and decided to splurge a little for the luxury of feeling comfortable in a very foreign land. We're really... more

An absolutely stunning riad in a terrific city. Stayed for 4 nights. The manager, Amina, was amazingly helpful, warm and open from start to finish. She met our taxi at the beginning and led us to the riad which is situated just inside the walls of Rabat's stunning medina (lovely whitewashed walls and gorgeous colours). The riad itself is breathtaking... more

This is a good restaurant, but don't be fooled into thinking it's Mexican food...it's GOOD, but it's definitely a Moroccan attempt at Mexican food. more

La Tour Hassan

Stayed three nights at the La Tour Hassan during a two week tour of Morocco. Reviews were right about the hotel, as it is certainly not a five star or really even a solid four. If you must stay downtown, then it is worth considering if you know not to expect much for the amount charged. It looked like the... more

Oudaia is a gorgeous place to visit hidden behind a huge wall. There is a beautiful garden with orange trees, roses and many blooming flowers hanging down from the walls and crawling up corners. There is a lovely little outdoor cafe where you can enjoy Moroccan mint tea or a cold soda or bottle of water. Be sure to wear... more

Hotel Splendid

18 Jul 2008

We stayed at the Splendide for 3 nights. We stayed in the slightly louder and warmer room facing the street the first night and moved to a cooler and quieter room facing the courtyard the second two. The bathroom was shared--and you'll want to make sure there is enough toilet paper before it's too late. The showers in the rooms... more

The entrance to this hotel is deceiving, with its marble lobby and uniformed man at the door. We entered our rooms to find an extremely filthy carpet in each one. While the rooms were more than suitably furnished, it was hard to enjoy oneself when the bathroom had a gob of something stuck to the inner handle. The sink was... more

Golden Tulip Farah Rabat

We stayed her for 2 nights on a business trip. I would say it was more like a 4 star not 5 as advertised. We were impressed by the service and the staff were very helpful, the hotel is quite stylish and clean. The room was clean and tidy. But the carpet was a bit grubby (Nothing major though). Dar Al Batoul

I really cannot believe that there are people who could find anything negative to say about this place. My husband and I just finished a five-week holiday in Morocco, Italy and Spain. Dar El Batoul in Rabat was by far my favorite place. We stayed only four nights and I find myself still wishing to go back "home" to Dar... more

I was a bit apprehensive before I arrived at the Mercure Hotel, Rabat, based on the reviews I'd read on Tripadvisor. However I'm delighted to report that this hotel in 2008 is a lovely place to stay. We stayed 5 nights there and the rooms were lovely, very clean & kept that way with daily cleaning & towels replaced. The... more

This was the best place we stayed while in Morocco. It is a traditional Moroccan Riad (like a Bed & Breakfast) with fantastic architecture and decor. The atmosphere is very casual, and Sophie and Stephane will make you feel at home. Breakfast is included, but be sure to have a homecooked dinner served on the roof. The candlelight and evening... more
