Taj Pamodzi Hotel

14 Dec 2009

The hotel is very nice and what makes it very warm is the great service offered by its staff. Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful, polite and friendly. The outdoor restaurant is vey nice as well and the food is great. The only downsides is the expensive and very slow internet connection. more

Great hotel and great food and very well run by Adrian Penny and his team! Everything in their control is handled with a can do attitude...what a pleasure. Lookout for Adrian's Innovative networking cocktail party where you get to meet other business travellers. Thanks Adrian , it proves that Leadership and engaged staff are the key differentiator's Hank van der... more

Eight Reedbuck Hotel

9 Dec 2009

To say that the hotel has some of the best rooms in town is an understatement. Why would anyone go anywhere else when you have this level of comfort and service. I travel regularly and would have to say that I am hard pushed to think of many better hotels that I have stayed at. The rooms are spacious, very... more

I stayed at the Taj for 5 days and found it really clean, rooms are big and comfortable, the wireless internet is expensive and slow so try to use it only if you are really in need to, the business center offers internet by the minute but they told me it was 3$us a minute so I never used it.... more

This was my first stay at the hotel. We arrived early, however we had our rooms waiting for us and the check-in process was very efficient. The hotel lobby is clean and spacious, however the stairs somewhat divide it and if you are waiting for someone, make sure she or he is not on the other side. The property has... more

Chita Lodge

9 Nov 2009

We stayed in Chita lodge over the weekend after a trip in Zambia. Rooms are clean and the lodge has a friendly atmosphere. The Chita bar and pool however seem to be public. The place therefore is extremely busy and noisy, with drinking guests till late night. Not really a peaceful environment and place to relax. more

Chongwe River Camp

9 Nov 2009

We stayed at Chongwe in mid October for 3 nights. The setting is amazing, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There are activities all day long that you can choose to go on, eg, game drives, canoeing down the Zambezi, or Tiger fishing. After every activity the staff come down to the water's... more

Chaminuka Game Reserve

7 Nov 2009

Chaminuka is a wonderful wildlife reserve on the outskirts of Lusaka, 15 minutes from the International airport. With a wide range of wildlife, birds and fauna Chaminuka is a fantastic place to visit to get a feel of a game park ...as close as you can get! The Sardanis' have converted their home into a 5 star hotel and with... more

Cresta Golfview Hotel Ltd.

5 Nov 2009

I live in Lusaka for several years now. Frequently I have guests and me and family also likes to dine and have fun at a pool. I have tried and seen all the major hotels incl. the international chains. Forget about them: you pay a lot and you are treated like a insignificant individual (number is a better word). Food... more

Just a short review because everyone has said everything. I usually get a bit homesick on holiday, and I am usually ready to leave. We stayed in the Albida Suite this summer with our children, we had the most fab time. From the elephant eating our bathroom shrubs to dusk over the African bush, it was magical. The only place... more

Taj Pamodzi Hotel

29 Oct 2009

The Taj looks very impressive. It is elegant and classy in its decor. The reception is especially beautiful. Uniformed doormen are available upon arrival. The rooms are clean and not bad, but nothing special. The staff are polite and helpful for the most part. The worst points of this hotel are the food and Internet. As a business traveler, I... more

This is one of two 5 star hotels in Lusaka. Friends who stayed at the other unanimously agreed this one was better. My own stay which was only one night was excellent. Beds were very comfortable; service was very responsive; amenities excellent including shops attached to hotel. Beautiful pool area where we had afternoon cocktails and late night drinks and... more

The service was excellent at the Protea Arcades and the hotel is new and contemporary. Location excellent. We only stayed overnight but would stay again. Room was quite large with all the amenities, included the bug spray and deet lotion. We did not think beds were comfortable. Air conditioning seemed a little feeble but was a luxury; construction outside started... more

Royal Zambezi Lodge

Elegant, spectacular, truly wild. I've just returned from 4 days at Royal and I'm already planning a longer trip for next year. My partner and I just loved the whole Royal treatment. Wild! Starting from the flight from Lusaka we knew we were in proper Africa. As you come in over the hills, the ground drops away beneath you to... more

19 Oct 2009

After staying at a more expensive hotel in Lusaka, we decided to give Mika Lodge a try for a one night sleepover. And we´re not dissapointed. To be a 80 dollar a night hotel, it`s good value. The rooms are ok, aircondition is working well, and the surroundings are good. Breakfast and food in the restaurant is also good. Its... more

19 Oct 2009

After reading other reviews of this hotel, we arrived with a litte sceptical attitude. And the first impression is average. Our reservation was ok, and we recieved a suite instead of a normal sized room. That was good service from the helpful staff. The price was 160 US Dollar each night. But overall the hotel has to many drawbacks. The... more

This new hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-situated. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. Several restaurant options are available immediately outside the hotel, thereby removing the necessity of finding a taxi and travelling to another restaurant. ATMs, etc. are available right there, as is a supermarket (Spurs) that is well stocked. The rooms have a refrigerator so you can... more

Tempted by a very beautiful website and folder I was really looking forward for my stay at Royal Zambezi Lodge, being the end of our little holiday in Zambia. It turned out to be a big disappointment. Arrival Our arrival was already indicating. Normally you are awaited at a lodge by someone from management and/or a whole team but here... more

This was my first time staying at the Safari Lodge and I absolutely loved it. I attended a conference with my Zambian colleagues and it was a wonderful place to have a meeting. The individual bungalows are quaint, clean and spacious. The grounds are beautiful and the trails are fun to hike during your free time. The food was delicious... more
