We used Sinhbalo Travel in Saigon to organise our tour. Pretty standard route , but with some great bits..the floating markets were fun, to buy you r coffee from a passing boat, and to witness the pace of life and the stark contrast with the city so close! more

During a recent trip to Vietnam we spent half a day on the Mekong River and exploring the Mekong Delta where we had lunch at a restaurant owned by the family of a North Vietnamese Major General. The Mekong River serves Saigon and the surrounding areas all the way down to Vung Tau and is known as the "Rice Bowl"... more

I have heard so much about the famed Mekong river. Finally got a chance to visit the place. We arrived at Ho Chi Minh City and reckoned the best way to see the place is not to hang around the touristy places. (If you go on the tour buses, don't expect to see anything unusual.)
