The Gulf Hotel is located outside the centre of Manama, and one needs to take a taxi to go anywhere. But, taxi's are cheap and abundant in Manama, so that was not necessarily a problem. I have stayed at this hotel on 5 occasions, each one a weekend break. The hotel is a solid business class property with spacious and pleasant rooms, excellent restaurants and competent staff.
