Stayed at Jannat house a couple of years ago during Xmas. I was quoted a lower price than anything that existed when I called them but to their hounour they stood by it. We found Baitil Aman through LamuRetreats.com, and the place seemed very beautiful and, while we really had spent last 6 weeks traveling independently in the dusty and bumpy inland of East Africa, we wanted to find the best value for the money we still had left. I guess 'globetrotter' has not actually trotted very much around our globe. Their 'misunderstandings' with Stopover AND Captain Beyonce could only be caused by their own inexperience or naivety or perhaps worse..... I saw one other traveller in Shela creating a fuss, and it was all down to her arrogance (ignorance?). Shela has to be the safest place in Africa.... more
