Climbing this "Young Mountain" was the highlight of my trip to Peru ( which was a couple of weeks ago!) Close to the Machu Picchu Pueblo Railway Station, the location is more impressive than the overpriced Lodge next to the ruins. Easy to reach the busses that speed you up to Machu Picchu in no more than 15 minutes. Comfortable rooms are set in extensive gardens and are very chic and have nice shower facilities en suite. Great staff, great restaurant, sort-of OK rooms and amazing grounds. Inkaterra is a great chain of hotels in Peru and this place is a lovely place to stay for Machu Picchu - we only spent one night and really wanted another to make the most of the tours of the grounds this place can offer. The communal areas and bars... more
