The Greenway Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Nova Scotia
27 Nov 2009

This hotel is fairly new and it felt like we're staying at a 4 star hotel. This hotel was opened in 2009 and wasn't rated yet. The breakfast had a large selections of food and was by far the best breakfast at a hotel. I love their glass elevator and you could actually see the city as you ride up.... more

Pan Pacific Xiamen

23 Nov 2009

Having the priviledge of visiting and conducting business in X/M since 1988, the city has evolved into one of the finest and greenest destinations in south China. One of the rare "diamonds" to be found in this city, is the Pan Pacific hotel. ( formerly Sofitel ) Xiamen presently boasts of 5 main buisiness properties within the city boundaries -... more

La Havana

Good food at a fair price. This restaurant is not in the best area, however, once inside you fell very relaxed. Service and food is great. If there is a buffet, skip it. Order from the menu, more

Sheraton Xiamen Hotel

10 Nov 2009

This hotel is very nice. Very large rooms with US style beds. Huge bathrooms wtih walk in shower. I have stayed here over 10 times. I will not stay anywhere else while in Xiamen. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. more

Portofino

10 Nov 2009

This restaurant is not only the best in Xiamen, it has truly Itialian food at a fairly reasonable price in comparison to other places. When I say "Italian" I am talking in North American standards. The environment is great with a no smoking area that is enforced. You can often see the head chef (an Italian!) that will come out... more

Yihao Business Hotel

10 Nov 2009

I recently spent the weekend at the Yihao Business Hotel in Xiamen. I have stayed at this hotel before, and I always book my hotels on line as it's much more convenient than fighting through the language barrier and the possibility of being misunderstood. Even though I book on line, I always find a problem when checking into the hotel.... more

Sheraton Xiamen Hotel

The hotel is neat, clean and up to dated as everyone commented, a total 5 stars hotel. But the problem with this hotel is the location. I went to Xiamen to visit my extended family members and they all told me that this area is a new developed area and there's a lot of crime happening; even in the day... more

Best Western Premier Xiamen Central Hotel

Los Angeles, California
6 Nov 2009

For someone with discriminating taste, this hotel provides an excellent breakfast with Japanese, Chinese and Western food. The free airport transportation was excellent with even a bottle of water provided for the guest, a nice touch. The service is excellent and the dinner in the hotel is also excellent. My only comment is the carpet is old and the toilet... more

Metropark Hotel

This hotel is in the new business part of Xiamen, so it's not handy for the city centre. However there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance so you would not go hungry. It's near an inland salt lake so you can walk around here in the evenings. We had a huge room with all mod cons and it seemed... more

This hote is on the Gulang yu island off the coast of Xiamen. It's a fun location a short ferry ride away from the city, and it's attraction is the crumbling colonial mansions and the fact that there are no motorised vehicles on the island. It is also a great favourite with Chinese tourists so don't expect it to be... more

I will highly recommend this hotel among other hotels. Value for money, great location, friendly service, and nice food in the restaurant! All of the rooms facing Gulangyu Island, and the room size just perfect. The ferry port to Gulangyu Island, just 3 minutes walk in front of the hotel. One thing you should try is the chinese food at... more

East Ocean Hotel

It was unfortunate that we only stayed here for one night. Its location at 1 Zhongshan Road makes it value-for-money. One can easily access tourist attractions from this area. The room was huge with its own living room albeit the furnitures were a bit rundown. The view outside was heavenly with Gulangyu's lights mesmerizing from the sea. The staff were... more

Offering a decent 4* hotel at affordable prices, the Millenium is a sound base from which to explore and conduct business. Rooms are clean and well decorated, the only downside being the lack of broadband availability. Staying in an executive room, I really expected more. Restaurants are good, with food being of a high quality by Chinese standards. Typical cheesy... more

Nothing special. Decent hotel. Free pick-up service & shuttle from/to the airport. Good Chinese food on the 2nd floor. Not too many other choices nearby the airport. No restaurants, bars, etc nearby this hotel. But downtown Xiamen is a 20-30 minute taxi ride away. more

We spent 4 nights with our two young children. We stayed in the new building (Haiyu). The hotel is a big complex made of various buildings, some villas, and it is beside a park; overall it is very nice. We had breakfast in the open air beside the garden/park every morning, dined twice in two different restaurants (once the buffet... more

Sheraton Xiamen Hotel

I find myself in Xiamen quite frequently. I usually stay at the Marco Polo, but during its rennovation I have had the opportunity to try out many other hotels in this city, I recently returned from a 7 day stay at this hotel. I booked a Junior Suite, which consisted of 2 rooms, a living room with couch, work desk,... more

This hotel is kept new, clean and luxury. Broadband is in room, my friend tells me that WiFi is also available. The breakfast buffet is recommended. Bread is nice, and food is hot enough and delicious, whatever Chinese or western. Juice is bottomless. Coffee and tea is served. The Fujian noodles are highly recommended. Staff are nice and must have... more
