Hotel Clarks Varanasi

The Clarks Hotel in Varanasi was special place to stay when visiting India's holiest city. Rakesh on the Hotel Manager desk was very helpful with all my plans to provide a driver, guide and a bootman to go on the Ganges very early in the morning. Staying at the Clarks was comfortable, clean and very friendly. more

We booked this hotel for 3 nights and paid in advance. My partner became ill and we could not go to Varanasi. The hotel refused to refund us our money, even though our travel agent explained our position. We would gladly have accepted forfeiture of one night's accomodation which is normal policy for hotels, but we are amazed at this... more
