Bunaken Cha Cha Nature Resort

2 Oct 2008

My husband and I visited Cha Cha Nature Resort in August, 2008. Let me start off by saying that this resort offered us personal service that topped the excellent service levels we have received at Four Seasons Resorts, Aman Resorts, and many Starwood Resorts. The owner, Raf, went out of his way to make us feel extremely welcome and have... more

We went to Wakatobi for our honeymoon. Its a great diving destination. TRAVEL: Be aware that if you take a 7 day trip it is only 4-5 days of diving. It took 2 planes and 3 boats to get to the resort as it was low tide and the big boats can't get in. DIVING: The Diving at Wakatobi is... more

I spent a couple of days here before going to Lembeh, and actually left a day earlier than originally planned. A really soulless place, though decent pool. It was largely empty, and had a rather ghost town atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and friendly and room was ok ,but I would not stay here again. more

we have just returned from a 5 days at the imperial aryaduta hotel. hotel itself is peaceful and without the often irritating loud "background" music. check-in is fast and efficient with a pleasant welcome drink. upon arrival luggage is taken immediately inside and we were welcomed with a warm smile. the staff is very welcoming which came across to us... more

If you want a basic place, ie.with bungalows right on the water. no hot water/ AC, communal eating with excellent family style meals, inexpensive dives, and a taste of 'the real Indonesia", this is the place . We had to wade thru the water at high tide to get to our bungalow, as well as wade out to the dive... more

We have just returned from eight nights at the Kima Bajo Resort & Spa and cannot express how much we enjoyed ourselves. From the minute we got there we felt as though the Kima Bajo Families priority was to make our holiday as special as they could and i am writing to tell you they succeeded. Nothing was to much... more

I have just returned from a two week holiday at Tasik Ria Resort, diving with Eco Divers. A great hotel, with beautiful surroundings, good ambience, terrific food, attentive and charming staff throughout, and a top notch dive centre. After two days, everyone from the gardener to the manager knew my name. Without exception, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the... more

OK, now imagine this: “You just wake up from a peaceful night sleep, get out of bed and step out on your very own veranda overlooking a peaceful sea and Manado Tua (a sleeping volcano set in a turquoise/blue sea). You wash-up and walk down the graceful hillside to the restaurant veranda for your breakfast while looking at incomparable scenery.... more

I am a very demanding traveller with tastes that run to Amanresorts, Banyan Tree, Four Seasons, etc. I have been to Gangga Island Resort (GIR) seven or eight times and have not been disappointed in any way. Like another reviewer I am prompted to write this belated review by the negative comments of Zeus697. Roaches - never. Generators that switch... more

Anyone who wants to go diving in the Lembeh Strait should stay at KBR. We stayed for 12 nights with 10 days of diving, and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The traditional houses are nicely appointed and have great views from the front porch. A/C, mini bar, bathrobes, toiletries and satellite tv give you all the comforts of home.... more

It was the third time I stayed in this hotel. It is quite nice. The service is good, the facilities are not bad at all and the F&B outlets are very nice. Every time I am in Makassar is for business and always for one night. The hotel is fairly new, clean and well catered for most needs. I would... more

We have just returned home from a lovely time at Kima Bajo Resort and Spa in North Sulawesi.
