We stayed at Hotel Artesia recently. The location is excellent (a short walk to the 'LandSun' Theater - a quaint theater showing first run movies for about $3 cash/matinee; a short walk to the Piccolino Italian Restaurant - a step above a frozen dinner but good service). The Heritage Inn provides all the amenities and then some -- a four star Inn at a two star price. Greeted personally by the innkeeper & owner, Sue Kehoe, she showed us the 24-hour tea & coffee nook (including a small microwave available to anyone - AND free popcorn). Free continental breakfast, with rather more options than I've usually encountered.... more
