Bangkok airports prepare to reopen

Anti-government protesters have ended their weeklong blockade of Bangkok's airports after Thailand's Constitutional Court ousted Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat. Security forces are checking Suvarnabhumi International Airport for bombs and other weapons, and workers are cleaning and restoring the facilities. Some flight service has resumed, but it is unclear when full operations will be restored.

Been here for one night stay mid nov 2008, the place is o.k. midtown, quiet and walking distance to all places. The rooms are like average thai business style hotels, all you need, minibar, clean, TV only in thai language, clean bathrooms with hot water. The garden with the new pool is nice. The walk in rate was after hard negotiations... more

This place was pretty dumpy, but it was the nicest place in town and only cost $30 US. We only stayed 1 night so it served the purpose, The area is beautiful and we had a great trip driving the Mae Hong Son loop. I highly recommend it. We loved this part of the country. We travelled around Thailand with the excellent Explore company and after two days and nights near the Burmese border trekking through very wet jungle and staying in hill tribe accommodation, this place was exactly what we all needed. Each chalet was more than adequately equipped with air-con, ensuite shower room etc. and decorated with dark hardwood floors, walls & ceilings.... more

Staying at Sang Tong Huts was the highlight of my stay in Mae Hong Son. All bungalows are beautifully designed with natural materials, each one has it's own character and beautiful decor to totally fit in with the environment. They are surrounded by a big garden with a pool. I stayed in a hut called NIGHTSHIFT which was so beautiful...I... more

My girlfriend and I traveled up to Pai on the advice of some locals without any idea where we would stay when we got there. All I can say is that we absolutely lucked out in finding this place. Pai is a very small town that hasn't been discovered yet by many travel agencies/travel websites. As of today there are... more

We stayed there 2 nights during the time we visited Pai. The hotel room is good size and the bathroom is small but has everything you need. I like the hotel room, it is simple but good. There is a big size pool look over the river. The hotel is not very far from town, it is relaxing. The restaurant... more

What could say? Horrible like the movie. fortunately we were only one night. Room: impossible to sleep, much noise and the walls between a room and other are pratically cardboard.
