Traveller Reviews on Hammamet

Iberostar Hotel Chich Khan

10 Oct 2008

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks AI. It is our 3rd time to Tunisia, having stayed at the Belisaire before, this hotel is a bit more ornate in decoration. We were in room 1427? 1472? ,no balcony but these can accumalate the rain ,if it rains. We had a big window overlooking the pool. Good... more

Sol Azur Beach Hotel

10 Oct 2008

Having read the last two reviews, I'll have to ask : Which Sol Azur did you stay at ? I have returned to this hotel for many years and even if it is a bit dated, I cannot agree with the very negativ reviews. I have always found both staff and management very friendly and helpful. My main "problem" for... more

Riu Park El Kebir

9 Oct 2008

We stayed at the Riu El Kebir from 07/09/08 for 2 weeks. We were a group of 6 adults flying from Newcastle. The transfer was quite long, about 1 hour 40 minutes but the coach was comfortable with air conditioning and only about half full. As soon as we arrived we were given wrist bands and shown to the dining... more

I always read other trip advisors opinions but i wished i had paid attention to the reviews about the hotel Sandra. If it wasn't for the fab weather and the great company ( my husband) this holiday would have been a nightmare. The rooms were not the cleanest, the air-conditioning didn't work, the towels, although changed daily, were a thousand... more

8 Oct 2008

My wife and I (55 and 57) stayed at the end of September 2008 for 10 days at the Oceana. First time in Tunesia and hoping for warmth and good weather. As my wife had jut finished a long period of treatments of chemotherapy and radiation for her cancer we just wanted to relax end recover. Because she could not... more

We arrived at Dar Khayam on 24th September 2008, all we had heard for the first 3 days was how bad the hotel is and how much people wanted to go home. Wasn't too great weather when we arrived but it soon picked up. Entertainment staff are OUT OF THIS WORLD, i cannot rate them highly enough! Big shout out... more

Sol Azur Beach Hotel

8 Oct 2008

We recently spent two weeks at the sol azur, the lobby is quite large with plenty of seating, a cocktail bar, a small bazaar, and the reception area which includes a money exchange. The rooms are a ample size (there were two of us) with separate bathroom, and WC. the view could have been better (luck of the draw) rooms... more

Hammamet Garden Hotel

Returned from Hammamet garden resort in september, my 3rd trip there, I felt after reading the negative reviews I had to add mine. I absolutely love this place the people are friendly and each time we've been each and everyone of them have been very welcoming! the hotel itself is nice, pools are great and clean theres always something going... more

Hotel Dar Hayet

8 Oct 2008

Dar Hayet is 5-10 minutes’ walk from Hammamet’s numerous cafés, restaurants and shops and has a superb position overlooking the beach, with good views of the Medina and the sweeping coastline. Whether you see this view from your balcony will depend on how much you pay. There are usually some excellent last-minute deals on offer, especially during mid or low... more

Royal Azur Hotel

8 Oct 2008

We were aware of the negative reviews but there weren't many options available for our last minute travel arrangement, and so tried our luck and were hugely disappointed. How we wished we had decided to chose Sindbad for the whole duration of our stay in Hamamet! Extra $ would've been worth every penny. It's 3 star at best, very run... more

Sindbad Hotel

8 Oct 2008

We stayed in Sindbad in July 08, unfortunately just for 2 nights, and had a wonderful time. Sure, the star rating may not match International (or Western) standard, but Sindbad was certainly worth 4.5 star for hotels in Tunisia. Negative reviewers on hotel standard seem to forget that this is Tunisia, not Turkey, there's a reason why few international hotel... more

L'Ecrin Sandra Club

This is not something I would normally do, but this hotel was that bad I feel I must. My party was six adults & one baby. We had booked to go to Egypt, but was let down at the last minute by the demise of XL airlines, and this holiday was booked in panic, it is the most expensive trip... more

Yasmine Beach

7 Oct 2008

Having read the reviews on several websites including this one, I was pleasantly surprised. Ours was a five day break, with my sister. We booked a double room, however cos we arrived late, we were upgraded to a suite!! Pleasant surprise with no complaints. The room is very spacious with two separate sitting areas; balcony seating as well, over looking... more

Hammamet Garden Hotel

7 Oct 2008

I got back from the Hammamet garden resort with my girlfriend 3 weeks ago and after careful thought and due consideration I feel a more apt title might be, The Hammamet Prison: Your Last Resort! We actually had a great week but to be fair you could put us two in a cardboard box and we’d probably find a way... more

Stayed for 2 weeks returning 6/10/08. Peter, Elaine and Wee Patrick. Porters at airport and reception will try to grab luggage - a firm no thanks will work if you don't want to tip them. 50p or £1 (1 or 2 Dinars) is more than enough if you do need them to help. Do not buy anything on the beach... more

I really enjoyed staying in Samira Club. It has everything. Beautiful beach and pool (but the sea is so nice that it's a pity to swim in a pool). Courts for all kind of sports + different games like archery, darts, table tennis... Spa center, hairdresser, horse riding, water sports....Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is great. Excellent animation team.... more

Diar Lemdina Residences

6 Oct 2008

We thought the hotel was pretty good, and good value. The staff were all friendly despite it being Ramadan. We had a huge apartment in the Sidi Bousaid area, with a separate living room, bedroom and kitchen, a balcony and a massive hall just for 2 of us. It was cleaned daily and fairly quiet. We only booked breakfast in... more

Before we went to Tunisia, we arranged a transfer through Transfers4u.com. I would reccomend that website as it only cost us 9 pounds each return, rather than the 65-70 taxis were charging one way! On our arrival, we were impressed. Nice large lobby and pleasant staff. Fortunately for us, they overbooked and we were a bit concerned, until they gave... more
